LADY DEBORAH MARIUS LEWIS

Sis. Deborah Marius Lewis is a Christ-follower, Mom, Daughter, Sister, Auntie (Tia), and friend. She loves the Lord and is grateful for His mercy and grace. He is the reason she lives. Deborah is a proud member of The Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. Booker T. Lewis II is her pastor. She serves in the Youth, Music, and General Mission ministries. She also teaches Sunday School.

Professionally, Deborah is serving in her 21st year as a faculty member in the Child Development and Education Department at Fresno City College. She also serves as a part-time lecturer in the Child and Family Science Department at CSU, Fresno. In addition to teaching, Deborah facilitates professional development workshops on ethics, equity, and professionalism in Early Childhood Education.

Deborah is a twenty year survivor of divorce. By God’s grace, she is blessed to have two adult sons, Stephen and Garratt, who spent their early years as members of Family Community Church. She also has a Siberian Husky – Pavlov, who is a part of her family. Deborah is grateful for family and friends who have supported her on her journey. She is proud to have been raised twice, blessed to be the daughter of Dr. Booker T. & Sis. Betty J. Lewis, and Dr. Fitzalbert M. and Sis. Dorothy L. Marius, all deceased and at home with the Lord. She is the niece of Deacon Roland and Sister Glinda Love, and proud of her spiritual heritage.
