Dr. Latisha Lenese Pitts is the wife of Dr. James Pitts. She is the mother of three children, Nia (20), Kenley (15), and Jada (8). Her family relocated to Fresno from Hattiesburg, Mississippi in July 2017. In August 2009, Latisha accepted JESUS CHRIST as her LORD and SAVIOR.
Being saved and converted is her greatest accomplishment. Over the years, GOD has allowed her to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, a Master of Education degree, a National Board Teaching Certification, and a PhD. Latisha is the co-founder of I.D.E.A.L. Women at the University of Southern Mississippi and the founder of the Women of GOD women’s group in Hattiesburg, MS. Latisha has been in education for eighteen years and currently serves as an administrator in the Clovis Unified School District. Throughout her career in education, she has had the privilege of teaching children, teens, and adults of all ages.
Through the years, Latisha has served as a guest speaker at several ceremonies, church services, and events. Latisha is known for sharing empowering motivational messages about JESUS. Prior to becoming members of Saints Rest Church, Latisha and her family were members of Mt. Carmel Ministries where she and her family served in various capacities.
Latisha has faithfully served the church as a youth group leader, daycare volunteer, choir member, feeding ministry leader, financial contributions record keeper, dance ministry helper, & women’s ministry member. Latisha is currently the Women’s Ministry Leader at Saints Rest Baptist Church. A major turning point in Latisha’s life was when she heard the HOLY SPIRIT speak to her for the first time saying, “take a deep breath and keep moving forward!” Latisha has been moving forward in the joy of the LORD ever since.
