LADY MICHELE EVANS

LADY MICHELE EVANS

Like all women, Michele Evans has many roles, but her most treasured identity is as a Child of God, having been born again into His family at age 37. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, volunteer at church and in the community, BSF leader. Her work and service have varied. After college she worked in Child Protective Services, then years raising her children, then as Christian Education Director at a large church, as a missionary in Mexico, also mentoring groups of women.

After returning to graduate school, she and her husband sailed their boat to Mexico to teach English as a Second Language in small mission churches, then moving to a Mexican camp as pastoral care to the staff. They were called back to the U.S. in 2000 to work in two churches, then to Family Community Church in 2016.

Her degree from Fresno State in Anthropology did not prepare her for any of these roles, but God never wastes anything, so He uses her past as part of her equipping for her service. God continues to give her new assignments, proving the verse that says, “Even in old age they will continue to produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.” Psalm 92:14. Each new challenge brings deepened faith and renewed energy. Both are needed to age according to God’s plan. There are bumps, surprises, thrills, often no fun at all – but always kept in God’s loving Hands.
